Official Fujifilm X Photographer 2012-2019 covering the X-Pro and X100 series cameras & launches. Although resigning as an Official Fujifilm Photographer in 2019 I remain part of the strong Fujifilm community.

Fujifilm X Photographer Official Bio:

David is a landscape and reportage photographer based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He is best known for his landscape and documentary photography featuring in a number of photographic exhibitions. His solo exhibitions including ‘Through the Mill‘, an exploration of the decay of a 400-year evacuated mill received critical acclaim. 

David’s work has been accepted by Getty Images and been published in a number of national publications and used in numerous book covers. He has written for a number of publications on the importance of photography in education and also produced tutorials and papers on a range of photography techniques.

As a Fujifilm X Photographer, David has gained recognition for his use of Fujifilm’s X-series cameras, especially the X100 series, to capture striking images with a unique blend of technical skill and artistic vision.

His work often highlights rich textures, dynamic lighting, and thoughtful composition, making him a respected figure in the photography community. David also shares his knowledge and experience through online tutorials and social media, inspiring fellow photographers with his insights and creative approach.

Fujifilm Collaboration : Freedom Through Photography

Through Photography followed award-winning X-series photographers David Cleland, Derek Clark and Andrew James for a day in the Lake District, England.

The Freedom Through Photography initiative was launched to celebrate the partnership between Fujifilm UK and the outdoor gear brand Millican. The project centered on three short films, each highlighting a different photographer. In addition, photographs captured by Derek, Andrew, and me were featured in an exhibition at the Keswick Mountain Festival from 15 May to 22 June 2014.
